JANE DOE #6 IDENTIFIED AS VALERIE MACK
In May 2020, the Suffolk County Police Department announced via press conference that the identity of the LISK victim formerly known as Jane Doe #6, also referred to as “Manorville Jane Doe,” was that of 24-year-old Valerie Mack. For the first time in New York State history, authorities utilized genetic genealogy to identify a victim in a cold case.
In January 2020, the Suffolk County Police Department held a press conference in which they revealed images of an embossed belt found at the Gilgo Beach crime scene. The belt is believed to belong to the suspect responsible for the LISK murders.
